How to remove a user in MSCRM 4.0

Question

Do you know how to get rid of CRM user accounts in MSCRM 4.0? After some user accounts were deleted in AD, we encounter many problems when importing the organization to another server, saying that there are problems with user mapping.

What is the idea that user accounts cannot be removed from the crm installation? Is there any tool or undocumented API Webservice API to get rid of crm users?
