Failed to load file or assembly error, even if the link was deleted

Question

Could not load file or assembly 'Payflow_dotNET_2.0' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)

All links to are currently removed Payflow SDK, although I still get this error. Is there anything else I need to do so that the project can compile and run?

Something in your project is still referencing this assembly. This can be in the web.config file or the project file itself.

Go to ALL .csproj files that make up your solution and look for "payflow". You can even simply search the files (using your favorite selection tool) and search for it.
