Can I clone etckeeper git repo on my computer, make some changes and then click on the / etc folder on the server?
I tried this, but I have a problem with clicking, because etc. - This is not a bare repo.
Thanks for the help.

You will have to either pull the repo to the etckeeper machine from your calculated one, or use an intermediate bare repo: your pc - (push) → remote repo machine to push <- (pull) - remote repo
keepconf git.
