Search for text in Ruby on Rails

Question

I looked through the topics here to create a full text search engine in RoR. But both of these flows are very old (> 2 years). I would like to know what is the latest and most stable fuzzy search engine that is compatible and used on rails. Links to resources / tutorials are welcome!

Also popular at the moment is Sunspot . The database is independent, but built by Apache, so a little on the complex side of things. Fortunately, the Sunspot gem helps make it easier to use. I would recommend using a monitoring daemon with it (e.g. God ).
