How do you avoid a reserved word in Free-Pascal?

In fact, I am working on translating some libraries into free pascal. therefore, the problem is that in delphi you can use the ampersand character (&) to exit the reserved word, but it does not work in free-pascal. the compiler complains about this message
ForLibDx.pas(72,13) Fatal: illegal character "'&'" ($26)

when the ampersand symbol is turned on.
