IPhone Icons retina / normal with Ending: @ 2x.png

My question is about TabBar-Icons: I define standartized TabBarIcons (20x20) and for retina resolution. I will just add the same image to the large one (40x40) and name it xxx@2.png.

It is right?

The Retina display has dual screen resolution (640px x 960px). Adding @2xan image file name at the end allows iPhone 4 to use these images.
