Vim: how can you get netrw to open https links?

In Vim, I can open http:links from gf. But the links gfto https:do not work. (Vim just creates a new buffer associated with the long file name.) Is there a configuration setting that I can configure to make this work?

No, but feel free to be the only one to fix netrw to make this possible! This is probably not so difficult - with a quick check, you will need to change the templates autocmdin plugin/netrwPlugin.vimto match https://*, and then either:

Option A

  • autoload/netrw.vim netrw_method https, NetRwMethod URL- https , http-, vars .

  • NetRead - , , , http https.

B

  • autoload/netrw.vim httpurm , URL- http https (, , "s" ), , .

  • b:netrw_option, , http https ( fetch - ).

  • NetRead http codepath , "http" "https" , , , "http" .
