Capturing special characters using android

How can I catch pressing all the characters that are on the sw-keyboards? Overriding onKeyDown () in action works only for standard ASCII characters, such as a-z0-9 -! / ... but does not work with all UTF8 characters such as őčřž (in this case this method is not called at all) I know that KeyEvent has a getUnicodeChar () method that returns the unicode character that will issue the key. But I do not know how to get this KeyEvent when onKeyDown () is not called.

I have not tried, but there is a dispatchKeyEvent method (KeyEvent event). I hope this is sure to meet ur needs.
