How to stop VS2008 from unnecessarily modifying my CSPROJ files?

For some reason, VS2008 simply likes to add and then delete and then add and then delete (then repeat) my <user control> and <form> links to my CSPROJ project files. This is incredibly annoying and interrupts my SVN usage patterns. Is there any cure for this minor but very annoying mistake?

Unfortunately no. Visual Studio has this great built-in feature :-),

Things are much worse when they run on form resource files or on localization (.resx) files.
