Is Google Analytics safe to track usage of business applications?

I recently needed to implement some usage tracking in a business web application. Basically, what needs to be tracked is what pages are used in the application, and how long users stay on these pages. The application is hosted on the web and is HTML / JavaScript.

I could use Google Analytics to track browser views, visits and features, but is it enough for use in business applications?

Does anyone else use Google Analytics to track web application usage? Or do you have some thoughts on this?

In addition, I could not find anything from Google, in particular, that it is good or bad.

It depends on what you want to be safe.

The data collected, if you trust Google, is pretty safe.

However, Google Analytics data is subject to change. Someone can read your Analytics ID from the page source (or HTTP traffic) and send fake pageviews, events, modify user variables, etc.
