Online resources for introduction to computer and computer science for an absolute beginner

In our office, we have an office boy (he graduated from high school (10 + 2 years)) with average academic success). He wants to learn programming. I started teaching him the basics of computer science (history of computer science, number systems, etc.), but I can’t have enough time with him (because I have very limited free time and, more importantly, I don’t want a spoon to feed him ) Now I'm not sure how to fill in the gap of theoretical reading.

Now my question is: can someone point me to some online resources (preferably in plain English) for an introduction to computer science.

In addition, I plan to start it with programming using the book Think Like A Computer Scientist - Python. If any authority knows a better book or online resource - preferably in Python, please indicate.

Finally, I decided to use a mixture of online resources. I myself teach him the basics of CS and basic Python. Then I will choose topics for him from various free books on pythons and official documents.

Let's see how this experiment goes.

Finxter is based on a puzzling learning method from beginner to advanced level. Users solve python puzzles and watch instructional videos. Computer science concepts feed on the go (learning behind the scenes). Here you can see the example I created:
