How to get a contact list from Gmail using the xmpp framework

I am trying to make a chat application. I am using the XMPP platform to get my contact list from a Gmail account. I can get friends from chat, but I need all the contacts from my Gmail account. I want to get all the contacts, not just the interlocutors.

How can i do this? I am new to xmpp framework.
