Is there a way to digitally sign a document on a Medieval host?

Question

The hosting server simply will not execute:

SignedXml.ComputeSignature();

I thought the XML and toXML methods required complete trust. But it came as a surprise. Now it is impossible to sign a document in digital form.

Has anyone used this before or any other way out?
