Getting direct download results using the youtube gdata API

I follow along with the documentation on using gData Youtube API for direct downloads with PHP. I can successfully upload the video, so everything is fine and good. The part that is difficult for me to figure out if it is even possible to get some status of loading execution, as in percentage, bytes filled or loaded.

Here is the code snippet in which the download occurs.

 <?php
try {
      $newEntry = $yt->insertEntry($myVideoEntry, $uploadUrl, 'Zend_Gdata_YouTube_VideoEntry');
    } catch (Zend_Gdata_App_HttpException $httpException) {
      echo $httpException->getRawResponseBody();
    } catch (Zend_Gdata_App_Exception $e) {
        echo $e->getMessage();
    }
?>

Anyone have any ideas how to update a variable $progessor something that it loads?
