How to create a release branch in GIT?

I want to create a "live-release" branch in GIT, so I can say capistrano to pull the source from this branch.

Tell me I'm in the workshop and now I'm ready to release, how can I push the (FORCE) code on the "live-release" branch?

I want to force, because I really do not like merge conflicts, I just want to press "live-release" when I want.

I want to avoid using the wizard because it can be unstable.

Assuming both branches are in the same repository, use:

git push --force . master:live-release

Or replace .with the name (URL) of the live-release repository.

. live-release master, . , - , , , , live-release.
