Is Webdings font available on most platforms?

I was thinking about using some arrow characters from the Webdings font on my website. However, I want it to work on most browsers / platforms.

Does anyone have any experience with Webdings that could tell me which platforms they have?

I am using Safari on Mac and I can not see it . I would simply assume that not everyone will see this and use some of the image replacement methods .
