DevExpress Acceleration Keys Not Displayed in xtraBars

Question

I am using DevExpress 2010 vol 1, VS2010 and VB.NET.

In my form, I have xtraBar, which is used to create the main menu of the application. Each menu item was carefully titled using the char (&) ampersand to create a keyboard accelerator key, so when a user presses a key ALTand presses an accelerator key, a menu is displayed.

The problem is that I can’t underline any title. For example, my first “File” menu has the title “& File”, but “F” never underscores, and pressing ALT+ Fdoes not work either.

After searching for some time, I tried to change the Appearance / TextOptions / HotkeyPrefix parameter to Show my MainMenu panel. Does not work.
Additionally, changing MenuAppearance / Menu or MenuBar or MenuCaption / TextOptions / HotkeyPrefix from MenuBarItem to Show does not resolve the issue.

I understand perfectly well that MS Windows has an accessibility option to hide the underscore over the menu headings, and I am absolutely sure that this option is disabled on my system.

Can anybody help me?
