Do not convert phone numbers to Opera Mobile links

Apparently, these guys from Opera added a nice feature to their mobile version of the browser: they convert things similar to phone numbers to HTML links on web pages (for example, $ 15.50, which is clearly not a phone number) .

The function is described here: http://my.opera.com/operamobile/blog/2010/02/12/opera-mobile-10-beta-3-for-both-symbian-s60-and-windows-mobile

Can it be suppressed in HTML using a proprietary META tag or something like that? This really hides our application ... Do other mobile browsers also have a feature that I should know about?

EDIT : Thanks for giving me a link to questions indicating the tag <meta name="format-detection" content="telephone=no">. This is similar to solving the problem on the iPhone, but not on Opera Mobile

Last solution:

Use Javascript to remove any links using href = "tel: ...".

After some trial and error, this seems to work on Opera Mobile and Mobilizer:

HTML text (should actually be "Samsung MSC 13800 TEU")

Samsung MSC 13 800 TEU

(place the span tag around the comma with the "hide" class)

CSS

span.hide {Display: none; }

"13800 TEU" , , (, ), 80-20 ( , , ; -)
