How to correctly revert to the old version in CVS HEAD using Eclipse?

I have a CVS repository in which I have a set of Java Eclipse projects where I need to return HEAD to the state in which it was at a specific time, yesterday essentially abandoned all commits that occurred from the specified time.

I tried various things, including using Replace with another branch or version, which gives the correct sources, but where it seems that CVS now thinks that I am actually working backward in time, and not in HEAD but with other sources that lead to a change in the files displayed in Team Synchronize, etc. Also commit tells me that I am working on a sticky tag and is failing.

So, what is the correct way to tell Eclipse 3.5.1 that I need to cancel HEAD yesterday?

I ended up manually merging the files in HEAD and checked the sources very carefully. It wasn’t fun.

I usually use the following for individual files:

Replace With -> History

What can be found in the right-click menu

Select the version you want (locally saved versions of eclipse are also included)

Then lock it HEAD

CVS , ?

:

Mark files (if there is no good check after a bad check, you can check all) → Right-click “Compare with” → With branch or version → Dates → Add date → Accept date where you know that HEAD is ok → Now you are in Synchronize mode, check all files -> Replace -> check files again

This does not really cancel your CVS check (history), but you do not get too many clicks on the old state. And you do not need to do this file for the file.
