Ubuntu: C ++ :: Boost Library Update

Question

After installing the Boost library using Synaptic Package Manager, the installed version 1.42.

If I check the official website of the boost, the current version: 1.45.

How to upgrade to 1.45 from Synaptic Package Manager?

You probably can't, as the distribution is usually lagging. The best option that I usually follow is to simply download and compile and install it myself, as described here

It should be packaged first (by Ubuntu).
