Symfony - which version to get started

Question

Symfony2 PR4 is now released, possibly the last before the official release. I have already done some tutorials with the latest symfony 1.4 (full jobeet tutorial).

My question is now: is it better to learn symfony2 before approaching 1.4?

if yes, any good sources for learning symfony2? blogs, books, etc.

Most of your answer should be based on your schedule. if you need to run your project in the next 3-4 months, I would go with symfony 1.4.
