Why is the emulator network (Mac OS X) turned off?

I have several different Android virtual devices. Sometimes, when I start them, the network connection for the virtual device does not work. The network field in the top status bar will be displayed with an "x". Recently, this has been happening more often than not. Why does the virtual device network sometimes fail?

In addition, when I use the settings application and go to "wi-fi", the checkmark is off, and if I click on it, I get an error message, but no more details.

In OS X, the network device indicated on the network preference panel above seems to be used to connect to the network.

Recently, I was dealing with the fact that I was on a wireless network (airport, en1), while en0 was still marked as up (but no cable was connected). So, en0 was found before en1, and the emulator did not have a network, even if a browser, email, etc. They themselves worked well. Turning off the en0 function immediately solved the problem.
