How to Post a Glassfish War in Eclipse

I am trying to use the ability to hot deploy / publish web applications to Glassfish through Eclipse. I use Helios to distribute Eclipse with Glassfish v3. I installed the Glassfish server in Eclipse. I have a servlet (war) application that I deployed manually through the Glassfish admin console, but would like to make changes and configure them on the server.

I set up the project to use faces and made it a dynamic web module. Now it is available for adding as a resource for my server. I have confirmed that when I add / remove a resource from the server, it is added / removed in Glassfish in the list of applications in the admin console. I set my server to "Automatically publish when resources change."

However, when I try to access the application, I get a 404 error. This is even when I choose to run from the admin console.

Can someone tell me which step I am missing? Is there a good, direct resource explaining how to do this?

Thank!

I had the same problem as you, I don’t know what exactly happened, but I have 2 theories

1: the glass fish connector was not installed correctly 2: There is a conflict between the Glassfish connector and the subtitle plugin, depending on the JavaHL dependency
