Raw sockets privileges for regular user

Question

I am trying to use a raw socket in my machine under windows xp sp2. as for my user there are no administrator rights. I get an error when trying to create a sock_raw socket. Does anyone know specific privileges in Active Directory or Group Policy so that I can ask our administrator to provide me the same?

[O] members of the Administrators group can create SOCK_RAW sockets in Windows 2000 and later.
