SSIS Is this better than writing code?

What is best used to perform complex ETL transformations in a multiprocessor environment:

i started writing an ETL job and got the first data column: it is formatted. SSIS could not make heads or tails.

You may be able to spend weeks trying to figure out how to convince SSIS to do what you want, but it is much easier to do it.
