WCF - Tips for Building a Solid WCF Application

I have a lot of new things in WCF, and I am creating a prototype study application that could turn into a commercial application. I understand the basics of WCF, and I have the functionality of a WCF application at a basic level.

What are some tips that experienced WCF users can give regarding traps and steps that I can take to make the application different, at least with respect to the WCF layer?

I am new to WCF, but I found out recently and was thinking of sharing with you.

if you host your services in IIS, then it is your best practice to make this new account that you can also manage direct privileges as it NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE uses the default value and may have a higher permission level. You can change this in the application pool in IIS so that your website hosting the WCF works like.
