How to load CLR into a process

I have a question that has puzzled me for a long time.

• What is the relationship between the CLR and one process created by the OS?
• What steps does the CLR load when I double-click "Console Application" or "Windows Forms Application"?
• I found two methods: _CorExeMain () and _CorBindToRuntimeEx (). What is their role?
