SaaS payment for Rails app: Chargify, PayPal or ...?

I am in my second year of programming in general and Ruby on Rails more specifically. I created several applications and finally got one for which I would like to start charging a fee. I have never implemented something like this before, and it seems to me that (from what I read) most of the documents provided are slightly above my head. I do not mind immersion in water, but before I did this, I wanted to get an opinion from more experienced ones about what is the easiest way to implement a model for charging my User per month for use. Two notes:

  • My application contains users already, and I will talk about a new section of the application that I want to provide only to those who pay.
  • I do not mind sending them to a third-party page for payment.

From what I can find, it seems that PayPal and Chargify are doing a decent job of providing assistance for this type of integration. What do you think about what type of solution is best for beginners in this space.
