I created a site that has the ability to download PDF. When I click on the link to download the file with IE6 installed, the browser window first opens with the dialog box "Download file" (request "Open", "Save", "Cancel"). No matter which option I choose, the browser window remains open and returns "Canceled action." Internet Explorer could not connect to the requested web page. The page may be temporarily unavailable.
Although the browser window remains open, any parameter that I select is handled accordingly. For example, if I click "Open", the file will load, and then I will remain with the aforementioned browser window. If I click Cancel, the File Download dialog box closes, but the browser window remains open.
IE7 behavior does not occur at all. I made sure that the computer has all the updates available. I am just wondering if this behavior is normal for IE6, or if I have some kind of setup that I am missing. Could you help me? Thank you
