What is JaMP and how can I find out about it?

In the project, I was asked to achieve parallelization of shared memory in Java, using JaMP, which extends Java to OpenMP. I am almost a complete novice in the domain, and after 10 minutes of searching the Internet was not very useful. My main question is: Is JaMP a linux-only implementation? And if not, what is a good starting point to start learning?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
