I want to use asp.net-mvc before write a website, I stop working with the framework. And I'm not sure if using a MembershipProviderclass is a good idea or not. Or better to implement it yourself.

Could you tell me what are the MembershipProviderdisadvantages? and if I use it, I would control it.

Regardless of the purpose of your website, using MembershipProvider basically gives you the flexibility to manage most basic accounts (e.g. login, pwd, register, etc.).
