Python development for Mac

I am developing python web applications using django and appengine. I plan to buy a macbook for developing applications for the iPhone. I wonder if I can develop my python applications without much change on the Mac, or if saving them to the PC is better?

thank

Macs launch Unix, Unix makes python development easier! (IMHO)

In other news: one of the big selling points of python is that it is multi-platform, it can work on both Windows and Linux, as on a Mac. Heck, here is a list of other platforms on which it can run.
