Format timestamp CSLogItem (since?) (NSTimeInterval)

Question

I register CMAccelerometerData on iphone. CMAcceleration is a subclass of CMLogItem that defines a timestamp. The timestamp is very important to me, because I have to compare the CMAcceleration data with the positions received via GPS. GPS gives me an NSDate object, which is good; but CMLogItem gives me a number that I cannot associate with anything.

This is not UNIX time for sure. This morning (11/17/2010 at 11.17 a.m., in Australia) he was in 4090 seconds.

Any ideas on what this could be?
