How to solve problems that the html page works well in firefox and chrome, but is wrong with IE?

I encounter the problem that my page works well in firefox and chrome (almost the same appearance), but very bad in IE. It takes a long time to adjust the differences. Is any research already being done to tell the difference S or any automation tool to study incompatibilities?

BTW: what tool do you guys use when debugging in IE (like firebug for IE)?

Your best starting point is to always use some kind of "w70> mechanism", like Eric Meyer CSS Reset or a framework like HTML5 Boilerplate , they help reduce differences between browsers (not all, but most of them). If this is not possible (the project is already completing the stage, etc.), you can always ask questions here, check Position Is Everything for error descriptions, Quirks mode , SitePoint link and various other sites (Google is your friend :)). Hope this helps.
