PayPal TimeOut - DoExpressCheckoutPayment

We use PayPal on a large website with a failure, the integration was successful with all the code assistants from the integration wizard. Now we processed several transactions on the first day of this concert, but a small percentage (5%) essentially did a transaction processed by PayPal, but our system received TimeOut. I believe this happens when we send the DoExpressCheckoutPayment method. and because of this, the system cannot determine whether the payment is completed or not.

This is very difficult, since there is a live currency on the website that we need to update, so paypal takes money, but a system that does not update is unacceptable.

I am interested to know if this is a common problem and how we should handle it. I am doing my best to recreate the problem, but I cannot at this time.

Having studied this in more detail, the repetition logic is not a good idea since TimeOut is triggered by the response (so paypal most accurately credited the account).

Instant Payment Notification (IPN) is submitted by decision.

Add retry logic to the application. This is a common way to solve this problem.
