Are there simulation environments for UAVs?

I would like to play with computer vision and AI methods without having to spend money on equipment right away. If there is no robot modeling environment modeling flight physics, can someone recommend the fastest / easiest way to create it? Of course, I don’t want to do this from scratch, but maybe you can easily “glue” some existing applications together?

As for flight simulators, the X-Plane is by far the most realistic in terms of air dynamics. Not only does X-Plane sound like a good choice for you, but you can create planes very easily using the provided software and write plugins in C ++ or Python (I believe there is still a plugin for this) that can manage / change the environment. Plus X-Plane is actively working.

If you only want to simulate physics, this C ++ code is very easy to use, well documented using well-known links: http://jsbsim.sourceforge.net/

Actually, this is one of the physics models available in Flightgear.

“SimplyCube can be used for advanced simulation projects such as unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) modeling. In this UAV simulation, we introduced the DraganflyerX6 drones, which can be controlled both manually and automatically. The drone, as well as inclinometers, which make it possible to judge the realism of this a simulator that includes the wind. "
