Google Chrome search engine settings from extension

I need to access the search engine settings from the Chrome extension to populate the context menu with a list of search engines. The extension works as follows: The
user selects the text, opens the context menu with the submenu "Search {select} by ..." and receives a list of engines, clicks the necessary engine and goes to the corresponding search URL

Your best option is to manually create an extensive list of search engines displayed to the user. There is no pragmatic method for collecting currently installed search engines.
