Chrome alternative for firebug evaluation console?

I am using chrome for a new website and I am doing javascript debugging. One of my favorite methods for debugging nested expressions is to set a breakpoint, enter the expression in the firebug input panel on the console tab, and click run. But I do not see this function in chrome. I probably miss something. Is it there? And where can I find him.

You can do this directly from this page: Hit CTRL + SHIFT + J , go to the Sources tab , select chromes-alternative-for-firebug-show-console from the file that pops up on the left, click on line 41 to create a breakpoint. Now refresh the page and your breakpoint will stop the debugger.

Ctrl + Shift + I will open the Chrome developer tools. Or (Chrome v9): Options โ†’ Tools โ†’ Developer Tools. Ctrl + Shift + J is a keyboard shortcut for the Javascript console.

On the Scripts tab, you can click the line number to set a breakpoint.

You can also try right-clicking on the page and selecting โ€œInspect Elementโ€, which should open up developer tools for you. Then you can click the Scripts tab , for example, Harmen.
