How to simulate left tree search in cocoa application?

Hi I really like the look of the left tree in Finder (Mac OS X> = 10.5). This is with a blue background color and the "DEVICES" and "PLACES" drop-down lists. I would like the category view in my application to look the same. But since I'm new to developing applications for Mac OS X, I can't figure out if this is just an OutlineView? If there is a predefined color scheme, for example, in finder? Please advice.

To make one in IB, you add a vertical split view with a thin divider. In the left panel, you will place the scheme and set the selection style to the "list of sources". This will automatically give you the correct background color.
