Why does jIndent violate my C ++ syntax?

Question

I have a strange problem where jIndent seems to remove the spaces between the "new" and type names, thereby breaking the code.

For instance,

Ball* b = new Ball[numBalls]; --->  Ball* b = newBall[numBalls];

Has anyone understood why? Can someone please export their working settings and post them here?

There is no obvious reason why you told us why the gindent should behave badly.

Standard first things to try / check:

• You have the latest version of the product (which should have the most fixes)
• The product vendor has an error tracking system that you can find for a similar problem (and related fix)
