I only use it for a couple of months, but I did not have any downtime or deterioration in the speed of generating diagrams.
I doubt that Google will resolve this for a long time ... They themselves use it in Google Analytics. Only for this I feel comfortable using it. Of course, if you want to get any guarantees, you will need a different solution.
