Is it possible to open VS2010, 2008 and 2005 and edit the same project?

Suppose I would like to edit an open source project written in vs2005, and I have vs2010. Is there a way that any VS user is newer that 2005 can read, write and debug the same project?

An open source project that I am considering using Lucent.NET

I did not try to use the projects on all three, but of course I managed to put together 2005/2008 and 2008/2010 to work together up to this point.
