Qt on Linux - version conflict?

Trying to move the Qt 4.6.3 project from Windows to Debian Linux (Etch). I installed Qt by downloading the latest version, then running configureand then make installas the root user. However, when I run qmake_qt4 in the pri project file, here is what I get:

uic: File created with too old version of Qt Designer

The launch uic -vreturns 4.2.1. How so? make installShould n't have installed the latest Qt in the system?

By default, Qt is installed in / usr / local / Trolltech / Qt -4.6.3 and does not add it to the PATH folder. In addition, it is simply called qmake.

/usr/local/Trolltech/Qt -4.6.3/bin/qmake, , /usr/local/Trolltech/Qt-4.6.3/bin/ PATH , , qmake. , , debian qt, .
