Setting Up a Non-Bank Email Account on Blackberry Programmatically

Question

I have a BlackBerry 9630 operating system with OS v5.0.0.624. I can add my Gmail account (or any existing non-BB account) by going to SETUP | E-MAIL SETTINGS.

I am trying to find a way: a) to create an alternative account programmatically from my BB application or b) by using the Invokelaunch email settings application and let the user configure an alternative account there.

Is it possible A or B? I would prefer option A, but B is an acceptable alternative.
