Proxies with Django and Guns

I have a django application that I use using gunicorn. I do this using the method prescribed on the gunner’s site - embedding the gun in my django application.

I'm trying to configure a proxy server in my application so that when I go to "http://mysite.com/proxy/" it proxies you to "http://mysite.com:8100".

I know that I can do this with apache and other web servers. For some reason, I would prefer to do this directly with gunicorn / django. One of these reasons is to keep everything in one place.

My question is: what is the best way to do this? Is this a terrible idea?

Thank.
