Sencha PHP Mysql

Looking back at my understanding, Sencha is purely JS based.

I am wondering if there is a way to use content from a site with PHP + MySql?

In short: yes, through XMLHttpRequests to your server. Sencha Touch is a Javascript infrastructure that runs on your interface, as it is a mobile device, probably on your phone. PHP (& MySQL) runs on the server, on your server. Then your phone application will access the website where the PHP application is running and receive / store data, possibly using the RESTful API .
