How to hold a named branch when clicking on the default branch?

Say I made some changes to a new local branch named "X". Then I make some other changes in my "default" branch. Can I push only changes to "default" and not changes to "X"?

Could my approach be wrong? If so, please offer criticism.

To a large extent. Just do the following:

hg push -r default

-r X push, pull clone. : " , X . , hg push -r default, default . , , , , .

, push hg outgoing -r default, , .
