Magento - javascript reliance = huge usability issues

Question

Ok, this is a bit of ranting, and the question fits - Why the hell is magenta so dependent on javascript ?? This applies to all rules of use. What is so annoying is that it even uses buttons instead of the correct submit form. What for? It makes no sense, what is the point to me at all.

Why is this so around?

Try using this site with java script disabled. It works, but starts counting messages back, and you will see why usability is superior to those who insist on disabling java-script.
