When is the App Store promo code valid?

I just posted my app on the App Store and it is in the process of being reviewed ( 3 degrees Wikipedia ). I have set the “Availability Date” in the future, as some blogs want to cover my application, and I want the actual application to be released at the same time as the reviews.

My problem: will the promotional code work for blog reviewers because the application is not actually in the public app store? In other words, can reviewers try out my application during the past approval, but not yet public stage of the application.

The short answer is no , you cannot.

To redeem a promotional code, the application must be available for download in iTunes.

If you want to give blog reviewers the opportunity to watch your application before its release. Send them a special version of your application. This is the recommended way to share your application with a limited number of reviewers / testers.
