Find your nearest airport using iOS

I am writing an application that I need to find at nearby international airports using iPads GPS. Is there any way to make this easy?

You can use the free services at GeoNames to find nearby places. They can only be filtered to return airports, as in this example:

http://ws.geonames.org/findNearbyJSON?lat=40&lng=9&radius=250&featureClass=S&featureCode=AIRP

This will return all locations designated as airports, large or small. You may need to adjust the settings to suit your needs.
